Help Me Mommies!

I know all you have creative kids too...mine wants her own kitchen for Christmas. Santa Claus makes SO MANY DIFFERENT KINDS! Plastic, cardboard, plywood...and then the size changes...so many choices!

What kind do you have?

What kind do you recommend?

I would recommend plastic for easy cleaning and longer lasting.

I know I'm not a mom, but I'm pretty sure my nephew has the Melissa & Doug kitchen. The Melissa & Doug product line is suppose to be really good -- I think they were one of the safe products to buy last year when we had that lead paint scare. They also have lots of play food to go along with it.

I did the plastic one
cheeeap
mainly to see if she'd even play with it.
she did. for 5 minutes. and it sits there ready to be donated.

IM SO GLAD I DIDNT GET A FANCY WOOD ONE---but my daughter is quirky :)

I have a KidKraft kitchen which has an outdoor grill on one side and a stove/fridge/dishwasher/sink/microwave on the other. I looooove it, and it gets played with all the time. Every kid that comes over plays with it too.

Here is a link for it, but they are charging 3x as much for as they did last year! (I would get a different model that is priced fairly!) http://www.amazon.com/KidKraft-Grill-N-Bake-Kitchen/dp/B000KEPLLY

We also have the Melissa and Doug food groups (thanks Aunt Dannie!), a cool apron (thanks again Aunt Dannie!) and a bunch of cooking tools.

It really depends on how much space you want to devote to a kitchen, because some of them are HUGE. I would not get a short "baby" one because she will outgrow it too quickly.

We have an all-in-one sink, oven, micro, etc. It's plastic, Little Tikes. Got it at Toys r us with a 20% off one item deal. It has worked well for us. Make sure it's small enough that it doesn't take over the whole house.
