Plans Change

Well, we our plans cut down significantly as the weather seems to not want us to leave the house! And when the rain finally cuts down (or chance of rain=dark clouds), Q is napping. SO, we did not make it to any fireworks or the hot dog eating contest. We did make it to a community picnic where they had tons of air rides (slides and bouncy castles and stuff for 'older' kids), we ate a hot dog, burger, and ice cream bar. And we walked along the river. We saw lots of algae, people, the statue of liberty, and jellyfish! I have photos of all, but I'm too lazy to download them right now, I'll post them later. It was a hazy day (85 with 98% humidity inland) so the photos of the city and statue of liberty aren't so great. But I wanted to prove we left the house! We proceeded home after a few hours as Q wasn't napping and she was tired and hungry. Some things change when you become parents!

There were lots of local fireworks and firecrackers last night...despite the drizzle...and Q slept through them all. We put her down for what I thought was going to be a short nap at about 5:30....we woke her up at 11 to feed her so I could sleep through the night!

She has 2 teeth now. She's still not rolling from her tummy to back (independently without coaching). She doesn't really like applesauce but will eat it if it's her only option (as it was this morning). She's been sleeping through the night about 4/7 nights a week...more since her second tooth popped through. She loves feet. She LOVES musical toys...especially ones that respond to her doing something -- like her leap frog maracas that count or say the colors when she "shakes it up" OR her leap frog table that sings various things with each area (trumpet, keyboard, drums, book, maraca, violin). She loves my hair and necklaces. She loves to throw her cup around, and is getting better at drinking out of it by herself (or backwashing into it somehow...).

So, photos to come later! Happy 5th of July (by the way, where did June go???)!!
