Congrats to Auntie Jen for finishing her mini-triathalon yesterday in 1 hr and 40 minutes (or at least that's the update I got from Grandpa Joe). I have yet to hear from J to see how she did, but she finished! Yay! Yay for Dad to go, too, as he apparently was up at 5:30am to make it! Yikes! :-)
Congrats to our friends Sondra and Ian, back in Minnesota. Their darling daughter, Julia Elizabeth, joined the world yesterday morning. She's super adorable and perfect and a darling (almost) 8# bundle of joy. At least, she seems that way from the photos she emailed. :-)
Q is crawling backwards...sorta. Only when she's on the wood or linoleum floors. She's pushing herself up on all fours more frequently now, and when she's not on the carpeting, she pushes herself backwards. She just started doing it today. She learns something new every day.
I don't think I posted any word on our Music Together classes...but maybe I did. We are signed up for the Thursday infants class...which I guess is technically only for babies younger than 8 months. Well, most of the babies are 6-8 months, so it's fun comparing their size (Q the largest by far), developmental differences (Q's right in the middle as some of the others are crawling and standing VERY well.), and interactions with Moms (Q could've cared less if I was there too), other babies (because she was far more interested in the other babies and Moms), and instruments (she's getting better at the drum as we have one at home that we play for awhile every day). I'm a little worried about the progression of the class 1pm is occassionally the beginning of her new naptime and she tends to get crabby. We may switch to a closer class earlier in the day when she's happier. We'll see how the next two weeks go!
She eats or tastes everything we're eating now. We still limit her cheese and yogurt intake as her digestion seems to go out of whack if there is too much in her diet. She enjoys all meats, especially with potatoes & green beans. Her nursing is about 6 times a day now. I've been pumping every 3rd night to get a frozen supply as my oldest sister will be borrowing the pump so she can continue when school starts.
We're excited for our trip to Wisconsin next week (already!?!?). We have a busy week an a half planned...baptism, 10-yr HS reunion, state fair, Brefka sitting, Uncle Joel's birthday, family reunion, and lots of time to enjoy cousin Hailey at my parent's house. Not to mention lots of hugs, kisses, and photos of all our aunties, uncle, grandparents, godparents, and cousins (to name a few....).
Off for now for feeding time....central park update coming soon!
